Hello!

Let me introduce myself! I am Ian, and (despite the unusal name) I was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece.

I made Tipr during the summer of 2021 because:

  1. It was the first summer I spent in Greece after 15 years in the USA.
  2. I have worked in the hospitality industry during the summers, and I have learned first hand. . . many things.
  3. It's wrong that it's not easy to tip with a credit card, anywhere in the world.
  4. I believe that cash replacement systems should continue to "support" all our existing habits.
  5. I believe that apps for work environments, especially in Greece, cause more difficulties instead of conveniences. Through Tipr I want to explore some of my friendly software ideas.

On Tuesday, 17/05/2022, all the details for the upcoming changes in Tipr will be announced. At the moment I assure you that:

  • The Tipr digital tip platform will continue to operate.
  • The page where customers can leave a tip continues to operate normally.
  • Any tips (both in a group jar and those already shared) are safe and will be available as soon as the management environment returns.

For the next few days, Tipr's management environment will not be available. This allows me to complete the "renovation" faster.

—Ian, on behalf of Tipr.
